The Painted Barn Studio
Our Studio is housed in a renovated milking parlour with views across the gentle South Norfolk countryside.
We offer Yoga, Pilates, Soundbaths, Ice Baths, Melt method and Adult Ballet. Weekly classes and weekend workshops.

GYROKINESIS®, Yoga & Pilates Teacher.
Natalie is a celebrated teacher with over two decades of teaching experience. Natalie’s class takes your body on a somatic journey and addresses the entire body, opening energy pathways, stimulating the nervous system, increasing range of motion, and creating functional strength through rhythmic, flowing movement sequences which incorporate spinal waves and spirals to undulate the spine bringing freedom, space and suppleness to your body and joints. Liv Bourne
Liv loves creative vinyasa, intuitive movement and helping people feel good in their bodies. “Cultivating strength, softness and openness is the name of the game – both on and off the mat!” As an actor and movement artist, yoga has long been a part of Liv’s journey. Her classes are influenced by her passion for storytelling, a belief in movement as medicine, and a deep curiosity towards all things spiritual.

MINDFUL MOVEMENTS FOR ALL PILATES. For all Pilates classes at the Barn, Debbie Mitchell is your contact.
Caroline, Christine and Jane will be teaching your classes at the Barn. Classes vary from super gentle, gentle, beginners and core challenging. Learn to feel your body move and use muscles you didn’t know you had. Small, precise and effective mat based exercises for all ages and abilities. Let’s improve your core strength, balance, posture, flexibility and mobility. Focus your mind within a fun, friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

Super Gentle Class – Thursdays 11:30-12:30 Learn to reconnect, trust your body’s movements and feel at peace. With a focus on breath work and the flow of movement to help strengthen and mobilise. A gentle but effective class open to anybody that would like to move freely again but not sure where to start.

Gentle Class – Fridays 11:00-12:00 Find peace and inner strength. Develop core muscles whilst protecting your body’s weaker areas. Improve posture, balance and coordination through functional movement patterns. Slower pace than the general class.
Beginners Class – Friday 12:15-13:15 A short course aimed at learning the fundamentals of Pilates. Developing breathing patterns and linking them to the movement patterns. Focus on feeling the activation of muscles before challenging them further. Aimed at complete beginners or refreshers that would like a little reminder of why they used to love it!
Sally Collins
Sally offers popular monthly soundbaths. Soundbaths are a wonderful way to relax and unwind. Helps with stress, anxiety, depression and much more.
Christine Morling
Find Christine once a month on Sunday mornings running Melt workshops. As a Melt method and Pilates teacher, Christine helps you discover the sheer pleasure of moving with ease, feeling stronger and more mobile. Explore new ways of moving while refining the basics. Find discipline and precision in a movement and then play with it. Be curious, choose what feels good. Practice body awareness. Christine’s intention is to provide a space where people can enjoy moving. To feel ‘I can’, rather than ‘I can’t’. And to have some fun while doing it! Pilates and Melt are wonderful methods to achieve this.
James Connors
James is a practicing NHS GP with over 15 years experience working on the frontline of the NHS and Wim Hof Method (WHM) Instructor based in Norwich. He came to the method as a sceptical stressed doctor who couldn’t get out of his own head and struggle. After his first WHM fundamentals session with an instructor his mind was completely blown and opened to a new way of living and thinking. Through the 3 pillars of the WHM; Breath, Cold and Mindset there are so many benefits to offer – reduced stress, reduced anxiety & depression , improved health, improved sleep, improved energy, improved immunity, reduce inflammation to name just a few!!!

Tara runs weekly Chair Yoga classes. For anyone who thinks exercise is out of bounds, for anyone who would like to increase flexibility and focus. Discover the joy of movement whether you have become less active through injury, age or career choice. Yoga made accessible for all. Tara also runs popular mini retreats with Yoga and Afternoon tea.
Chelsie
Michelle Tinkley
Michelle has been a freelance Ballet teacher for 20 years, she trained at the Royal Academy of Dance, London, gaining BA (Hons) Art and Teaching of Ballet. Michelle’s classes are relaxed and holistic, she uses imagery to help you embody classical ballet technique so you can build strength, poise, balance and agility. Classes typically focus on Barre, Barre a terre (slow technical exercises on the floor- bring a yoga/Pilates mat) Port de Bras (Slow classical carriage of the arms with simple foot work) and Centre Practice (coordinated leg and arm movements learnt on the barre but performed more dynamically in the centre of the room) Michelle is planning to offer immersive weekend Ballet retreats and weekly classes at the Painted Barn in 2024.
Jessica McKenna
Jessica will be offering healing sound gong baths, a wonderfully relaxing, meditative and healing experience. With over 25 years practice and 16 Years teaching experience Jessica is passionate about offering individuals the tools to enable healing through awareness to the mind and body. She guides you through a wonderful gentle nurturing Yoga practice helping create peace, calm and focus of the mind, creating strength and flexibility in the body. Classes suitable for all levels. Beginners welcome.
Kathy Winston
Starting January. Kathy was a cardiac nurse in the NHS for 30 years and has practiced various forms of Tai chi and Qigong over that time and now teaches a very beautiful slow flowing Qigong called Shibashi. It is a moving meditation that can be done at any age. Qigong pronounced “chee gong,” was developed in China thousands of years ago as part of traditional Chinese medicine. It involves slow focused movements and breath to optimise energy within the body, mind, and spirit, with the goal of improving and maintaining health and well-being. Qigong has both psychological and physical components and involves the regulation of the mind, breath, and body’s movement and posture.
