About us
The Painted Barn is situated in Barnham Broom on the River Yare, 9 miles west of Norwich and 4 miles north-west of Wymondham.
We are on the border of South Norfolk / Breckland – an area of gentle countryside dominated by farmland yet containing some of the UK’s most unique conservation areas including ancient woodlands, heaths and rivers. The area is dotted with small market towns and villages and Barnham Broom is in close proximity to the city of Norwich.
The Painted Barn was first established eight years ago at Old Hall Farm by Julie Eagle. A variety of vintage furniture was bought and painted in an array of colours – transforming unwanted furniture into unique pieces for modern homes.
With incredible support and hard work from the whole family, Julie and Nick have been able to realise this exciting farm diversification project, the 16th century barn, (earliest records date back to 1550), and another adjacent dairy barn have been converted into a café, home & interiors shop and yoga studio namely The Painted Barn Café, The Painted Barn Shop and The Painted Barn Studio.
Julie and Nick, pictured above, look forward to welcoming you, and hope you will fall in love with this old barn, as they have.
