Starting January. Kathy was a cardiac nurse in the NHS for 30 years and has practiced various forms of Tai chi and Qigong over that time and now teaches a very beautiful slow flowing Qigong called Shibashi. It is a moving meditation that can be done at any age. Qigong pronounced “chee gong,” was developed in China thousands of years ago as part of traditional Chinese medicine. It involves slow focused movements and breath to optimise energy within the body, mind, and spirit, with the goal of improving and maintaining health and well-being. Qigong has both psychological and physical components and involves the regulation of the mind, breath, and body’s movement and posture.
